Please Note: Registration to Veterinary Education Today is for credentialed veterinary healthcare professionals ONLY.

*Pre-Conference Sessions (October 1st, 2020) require an extra fee and a separate registration from the main conference.  Delegates must register for Veterinary Education Today in order to qualify for registration for a workshop. You will be given the opportunity to register for workshops and interactive sessions after you register for the conference. Workshops have limited space available. We suggest you register early to avoid disappointment.

Delegates will have the option to choose between on-line and on-site up to one week prior to the event. As seating will be limited on-site, we encourage you to choose your preference while registering. You will be given the option to change it later.

ON-SITE Registration:

If attending VET in-person, please be assured that the many pandemic protocols will be in place for your safety. We are delivering a “touchless” event experience, that includes:

  • Touchless Registration & Conference APP – simply scan your bar code from your smart phone upon arrival to check in. Everything else you need such as a Schedule-at-a-Glance, Presentation Abstracts, Speaker Bios, Sponsor Listings and more will be found on our easy-to-use Conference App
  • BYOP – Bring Your Own Pen and notebook please!
  • Physical distancing plus separate entry/exit points for lecture rooms and room capacity measures will be in place
  • Masks are not mandatory but are recommended.
  • Exhibit booths will be laid out with higher drapes to ensure exhibitors will not be put at risk with close booths.
  • Enhanced cleaning & safety protocols such as Hand sanitizer stations; Common touch points sanitized between presentations; Deep cleaning overnight; Sneeze guards at Registration, Help Desks and Food counters. 

VIRTUAL Registration:

Are you under a corporate travel ban, or perhaps have an underlying health condition that makes travel a high risk? If so, we encourage VIRTUAL registration that includes all of the same benefits of onsite!

  • PRESENTATIONS – see and hear all speakers with their PowerPoint presentations. Participate in Q&A with the onsite audience.
  • TRACKS – move from room to room at any time.
  • NETWORKING LOUNGE – see everyone else registered virtually and contact someone you know for a one-on-one conversation.
  • EXHIBITING SPONSORS – chat directly with a Rep; download new product material, watch videos, fill in surveys to win booth prizes and be sure to participate in the Passport Draw for your chance to win prizes!

Group Pass – How does it work?

  • The Group Pass (minimum 2 DVM’s total of 5) simply pre-purchases passes on behalf of the members of the group. Group pass can be made up of either virtual or on-site. The Group purchaser registers for the conference and then enters each attendee's email. Each pre-paid attendee will then receive their own custom link to complete their own registration. Not sure who in your practice can come? Don't worry, registration is fully transferable..
  • The Group Pass can be shared within your clinic or among industry peers & colleagues.
  • A group pass includes up to 5 (minimum 2 DVM’s total of 5), two-day pass’. The Group Pass is the same price for up to 5 individuals. If you register less than 5, there is no rebate on the fee.
  • Additional passes can be purchased for only $50 each.
  • Group Passes must be purchased and paid for together.
  • Substitutions can be made up to two weeks prior to the conference.
  • There are no full or partial refunds for individuals within any Group Pass.
  • Note: passes can be transferred from virtual to on-site up 1 week before the conference.

What does my conference pass include?

Whether you are on-site or participating virtually your pass includes:

  • 2-day conference pass gives you full access to all sessions
  • 1-day conference pass gives you full access to all sessions
  • Additional sponsored sessions are complimentary to attend and are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Pre-Conference workshops are available on Thursday October 1, 2020 for additional fees.
  • Food & beverage is not included in your conference package. More details will be made available closer to the event regarding food and beverage options
  • Opportunity to register both virtually or on-site. If you are undecided whether you want to attend on-site or virtually you can decide up to September 15th. Subject to availability.
  • Access to all live sessions. After the event you can still access the ones you missed for two weeks. *subject to presenter approval
  • 28 hours of RACE-approved CE plus practice management and sponsored symposia CE
  • Access to the sessions that you may have missed. Based on presenter approval and subject to a limited time for availability

Cancellation Policy:

We are monitoring the status of COVID-19 and the effect it has on conventions and conferences. Depending on provincial and federal legislation at the time, we have a contingency plan in place, should VET not be physically held on October 1,2,3, 2020.

In this case, VET will be hosting a live, interactive, virtual conference and in addition to this, we have also secured back- up dates, based on government timelines. We assure you that you will receive quality CE from VET 2020.

WIFI - Is there free wi-fi?

Yes VET is happy to offer free Wi-Fi access during the conference from any tablet, phone, and device – look for the network called “VET” and follow the steps to log on.

SESSION SCANNING - What is it for?

As you enter each room, you will scan your badge. Once you are scanned it will automatically populate your certificate of attendance. You can download your certificate right from the conference website. The scanning is just to auto-populate your Certificate of attendance. If you wish to have a blank certificate of attendance please email: lbaker@macgregorcom.com

  • *Note – Some Sponsored symposia will not appear on the Final Certificate of attendance if they are not RACE-approved and separate of the University of Saskatchewan, WCVM program.
  • REFUNDS - Is my registration refundable?

    Passes and Tickets are non-refundable, but may be transferred. Passes may not be shared.

    If you’d like to transfer your registration, please email us at registration@veterinaryeducationtoday.ca at least two weeks prior to the conference. We will not process transfers over the phone.

    SOCIAL MEDIA - Is VET on social media?

    CREDITS - How many Academic credits can I get by attending the entire conference?

    This program 1037-33342 is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 47.00 CE Credits (18.00 max) being available to any one veterinarian: and/or 41.00 Veterinary Technician CE Credits (18.00 max). This RACE approval is for the subject matter categories of: Category One: Scientific using the delivery method of Seminar/LectureLab/Wet Lab. This approval is valid in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE; however, participants are responsible for ascertaining each board's CE requirements. RACE does not "accredit" or "endorse" or "certify" any program or person, nor does RACE approval validate the content of the program.

    Practice Management courses offer up to 15 hours of management CE's and are applicable to the CVPM continuing education requirement

    PETS - Can I bring my pet to the conference?

    Delegates who wish to bring a companion animal to VET must contact Show Management at registration@veterinaryeducationtoday.ca in advance to receive and complete the required VET Companion Animal Release Form.

    GUESTS - Can I bring my husband/ wife/ child/ with me as a guest?

    No. The conference is only open to veterinary professionals.

    INTERNATIONAL INVITATION LETTER REQUESTS- Does the conference provide invitation letters?

    No. Veterinary Education Today focuses on Canadian CE requirements and as such does not issue letter of invitations to international veterinary professionals.

    SHUTTLE BUS - Is transportation between the hotels and International Centre available?

    Due to COVID-19 restrictions the shuttle bus services will not be available at this time.

    ACCOMMODATIONS / HOTELS - Is there a room block available?

    We encourage you to reserve your hotel accommodations through our room block. We have negotiated excellent rates on your behalf and provide complimentary shuttle service to the International Centre.

    EVALUATIONS - Can I complete the session/conference evaluations after the conference?

    Yes. The session evaluations are left open following the conference until Friday November 13.

    2. Once you are logged in, click the "program" tab
    3. Click the session you would like to evaluate
    4. Click evaluation from the menu

    PRESENTATIONS - Are the presentations available? / How do I get the presentations?

    Some presentations are available to download. Please note: if the speaker did not give us permission, their presentation is not available. Look for the paper icon beside the title to see if that session has a presentation available.

    CERTIFICATES - Where can I find my Certificate of Attendance?

    Yes. Certificates are available to download from the mobile website

    RESTAURANT - Where can I purchase food?

    The new exhibit hall and conference centre offers more selection with an on-site restaurant and more food stations.

    ACCESSIBILITY - What if I need special assistance?

    If you require any special assistance, please contact us directly at least 30 days prior to conference date.

    LOST & FOUND - Where can I drop off or pick up a lost or found item?

    If you lost or found something please report to the INFO booth.

    INDUSTRY SUPPLIER - How do I register as a Non-exhibitor industry supplier?

    Non Exhibiting Industry Supplier Policy
    Access to the VET conference and exposition is closed to veterinarian healthcare professionals and students only. Non-exhibiting Industry Suppliers are not permitted to participate in the conference or exposition. A supplier is considered to be any individual or company who provides a product or service to the veterinary industry, such as medications (prescribed and over-the-counter), food, pet accessories and treats, financial services, medical equipment and devices, software and or office management products/services, memorial products/services, and more. Industry Suppliers may request a guided tour of the conference and exposition. Tour Requests must be received by 5:00pm EST Friday September 17, 2020. Please contact Lee Baker at lbaker@macgregorcom.com.
    Media Policy
    Media companies that wish to attend VET should complete an application for a Media Pass, which can be downloaded here. You must apply for Show Management approval by 5:00pm EST Friday September 17, 2020. Media accreditation is non-transferrable. Any deviation from the media scope outlined may result in revocation of your pass. No more than two (2) editorial representatives may attend over the duration of the show. Publishers and/or salespeople from media organizations do not qualify for a media pass.
