REGISTRATION - What does my conference pass include?

  • 2 day conference pass gives you Full access to all 30 sessions presented by WCVM on Friday September 28,2018 and Saturday September 29,2018 (Including Keynotes, Breakout Sessions, Vendor Sessions, Networking reception & exhibit area)
  • 1 day conference pass gives you full access to all sessions presented by WCVM on the day you are attending (Including Keynotes, Breakout Sessions, Sponsored Sessions & exhibit area)
  • Additional Sponsored sessions are also complimentary to attend and are on a first-come-first-serve basis when you register (stand by lines available at the conference)
  • Pre-Conference workshops are also available on Thursday September 27, 2018 and have additional fees.
  • Food & Beverage is not included in your conference package however a food court with a wide variety of vendors will be on site to serve you!
  • Optional Pre-purchased lunch are also available when you register

WIFI - Is there free wi-fi?

Yes VET is happy to offer free Wi-Fi access during the conference from any tablet, phone, and device – look for the network called “VET” and follow the steps to log on.

SESSION SCANNING - What is it for?

As you enter each room, you will scan your badge. Once you are scanned it will automatically populate your certificate of attendance. You can download your certificate right from the conference website. The scanning is just to auto-populate your Certificate of attendance.

  • *Note – Some Sponsored symposia will not appear on the Final Certificate of attendance if they are not RACE-approved and separate of the University of Saskatchewan, WCVM program.
  • GROUP PASS - How Does It Work?

    • The Group Pass (minimum 2 DVM’s total of 5) simply pre-purchases passes on behalf of the members of the group. The Group purchaser registers for the conference and then enters each attendee's email. Each pre-paid attendee will then receive their own custom link to complete their own registration.
    • The Group Pass can be shared within your clinic or among industry peers & colleagues.
    • A group pass includes up to 5 (minimum 2 DVM’s total of 5), two-day pass’. The Group Pass is the same price for up to 5 individuals. If you register less than 5, there is no rebate on the fee.
    • Additional passes can be purchased for only $50 each.
    • Group Passes must be purchased and paid for together. We can not add additional registrations to a purchased Group Pass.
    • Substitutions can be made up to two weeks prior to the conference.
    • There are no full or partial refunds for individuals within any Group Pass.

    REFUNDS - Is my registration refundable?

    Passes and Tickets are non-refundable, but may be transferred. Passes may not be shared.

    If you’d like to transfer your registration, please email us at registration@veterinaryeducationtoday.ca at least two weeks prior to the conference. We will not process transfers over the phone.

    SOCIAL MEDIA - Is VET on social media?

    CREDITS - How many Academic credits can I get by attending the entire conference?

    This program 1037-33342 is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 47.00 CE Credits (18.00 max) being available to any one veterinarian: and/or 41.00 Veterinary Technician CE Credits (18.00 max). This RACE approval is for the subject matter categories of: Category One: Scientific using the delivery method of Seminar/LectureLab/Wet Lab. This approval is valid in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE; however, participants are responsible for ascertaining each board's CE requirements. RACE does not "accredit" or "endorse" or "certify" any program or person, nor does RACE approval validate the content of the program.

    Practice Management courses offer up to 15 hours of management CE's and are applicable to the CVPM continuing education requirement

    PETS - Can I bring my pet to the conference?

    Delegates who wish to bring a companion animal to VET must contact Show Management at registration@veterinaryeducationtoday.ca in advance to receive and complete the required VET Companion Animal Release Form.

    GUESTS - Can I bring my husband/ wife/ child/ with me as a guest?

    No. The conference is only open to veterinary professionals.

    SHUTTLE BUS - Is transportation between the hotels and International Centre available?

    Yes, there is a complimentary shuttle bus available from our official hotels to and from the International Centre. Pickup spots are located in front of each hotel lobby and just outside of Hall 5 at the International Centre. Please see the schedule below:

    EVALUATIONS - Can I complete the session/conference evaluations after the conference?

    Yes. The session evaluations are left open following the conference until Friday November 10. Bonus! Every evaluation you complete is a chance to win a $20 Bookstore Gift Card.

    How to fill out session evaluations:
    1. Login to veterinaryeducationtoday.ca
    2. Once you are logged in, click the "program" tab
    3. Click the session you would like to evaluate
    4. Click evaluation from the drop-down menu

    PRESENTATIONS - Are the presentations available? / How do I get the presentations?

    Some presentations are available to download. Please note: if the speaker did not give us permission, their presentation is not available. Look for the paper icon beside the title to see if that session has a presentation available.

    CERTIFICATES - Where can I find my Certificate of Attendance?

    Yes. Certificates are available to download from the mobile website

    RESTAURANT - Where can I purchase food?

    You can find a variety of restaurants located at the other end of the exhibit hall. If you pre-purchased your lunch when you registered you will find a ticket attached to your badge.

    ACCESSIBILITY - What if I need special assistance?

    If you require any special assistance, please contact us directly at least 30 days prior to conference date.

    CHARGING STATION - Is there anywhere I can recharge myself and my device?

    Yes. Relax with a complimentary neck & shoulder massage located infront of the restaurant and re-charge your device in the Re-Charge Lounge located on the trade show floor.

    LOST & FOUND - Where can I drop off or pick up a lost or found item?

    If you lost or found something please report to the INFO booth.
